A visual editor for agent skills

Build better agent skills without writing Markdown

Describe the job in ordinary language. SkillForge turns it into a readable skill, lets you study strong examples beside it, and keeps every change yours to review.

Free in your browser. The desktop app works with the AI tools already on your computer.

Three steps

From an idea to a skill you can use

SkillForge handles the file structure while you decide what good looks like.

1

Describe the job

Write what the skill should do in your own words. SkillForge builds the first complete draft.

2

Learn from examples

Open a proven skill beside yours. Select a passage and explain what makes it useful.

3

Review and save

Inspect the changes, edit the document, then save or download an ordinary SKILL.md.

Editor controls

The work stays readable

No raw Markdown required to begin. No invisible jump from prompt to finished file.

A focused place to build

Six small tools for the decisions that matter.

Edit visually

Shape the skill as a document while SkillForge keeps the file valid.

Compare beside it

Study a strong example without changing the protected source.

Keep your reasoning

Attach why a passage works to the improvement you want.

Review every change

Accept, edit, or leave each proposed section alone.

Stay portable

Take the resulting SKILL.md to the agent that needs it.

Recover a draft

Return to a safe copy when an edit does not belong.

Desktop workspace

Keep the file close to your tools

Desktop opens and saves skills directly on your computer. It uses the Codex or Claude access already installed there and keeps the connection plumbing out of your editor.

Download for Windows Mac download pending signing
The universal Mac app passed its native build and runtime check. Its public download follows Apple signing.
Review by design

Nothing changes behind your back

SkillForge keeps the original examples protected and shows proposed work before it reaches your draft.

Examples stay read-only

Learn from their structure without turning them into an edit target.

Files stay evidence

Supporting material can inform a review. SkillForge never executes it.

Changes arrive as proposals

Read the before and after, then choose what belongs.

Your output stays ordinary

The result remains a portable file you can open outside SkillForge.
